Job Title: Data Entry Administrator

Hours: Bank
Salary: £29,214 per annum pro rata
Reports to: Site Manager

Job Description

The Data Entry Administrator plays a key role in supporting the smooth operation of clinical services through accurate and timely input of patient data. Working closely with clinical and administrative teams, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of patient records, ensuring all information is up to date and correctly entered into clinical systems.

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input clinical and administrative data into electronic patient record systems.
  • Ensure timely data entry of clinical correspondence, diagnostic results, and treatment notes.
  • Review and validate incoming information for completeness and accuracy before entry.
  • Liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff to clarify data where necessary.
  • Support data quality audits and help identify and correct discrepancies in records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and GDPR regulations at all times.
  • Assist in the production of reports and data summaries for clinical audits or service planning.
  • Manage scanning, filing, and indexing of clinical documents into digital systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data quality processes and protocols.

 

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Proven experience of high levels of accuracy in data entry and information processing
  • Three A-Level’s grade A*-C
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to accurately maintain patient records

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a Clinical Trials or Healthcare environment
  • GCSE or equivalent in IT
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
